    Instruments Maintenance

     

    1. Disinfection

     Use chemical disinfectant MEProColor.

    Paycloseattention to the

    correctdosages and exposure times. If you

    are using a disinfecting machine, skip

    service cycle steps

    1-5.

     3. Cleaning:

     Washing machine

     Hand wash: Remove all visible dirt with

    warm water. Use a soft brush

    anddetergent.

     5. Drying

     Dry instruments before sterilization.

     7. Packing

     Pack serviced and cleaned instruments for

    sterilization

    2.Rinsing

    Rinse instruments thoroughly under warm

    running water

    4. Ultrasonic cleaner: use instrument cassettes

    to prevent damage.

    6. Inspection and sharpening

    Sharpen, service or replace instruments, if

    necessary.

    8. Sterilization

    Autoclave: place clean, dry and properly

    packed instruments into the

    autoclave (max. 134°C / 273°F, 2 bar).

    Hot-air sterilization: place clean, dry and

    properly packed instruments into the hot-air

    sterilizer; do not fi t them in too tightly;

    ensure that temperatureis correct (max.

    180°C / 355°F).
